The Licensing Expo China (LEC) will be held from July 17 to 19 at Halls 1.1 and 2.1 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

This year marks the seventh edition of the event, which has expanded to cover 48,000 square meters and will feature over 400 exhibitors and more than 1,800 intellectual properties (IPs) across various categories, such as animation, film, literature, games, sports, art, fashion, and more.

According to the 2023 Global Licensing Survey by Licensing International, the global sales of licensed goods and services reached $340.8 billion in 2022, with China ranking fifth globally and second in Asia with a total sales output worth $12.6 billion.

LEC aims to integrate diverse IP resources, providing an efficient platform for industry buyers to connect with licensors and agents, thus fostering high-quality and diverse content.

The expo will feature five main themed sections: ACGN (Anime, Comics, Games, and Novels), Film and Media, Brands and Agents, Culture and Art, as well as Lifestyle Trends.

Additionally, specialized zones like the "Hi IP zone" and the "IP brand cross-border zone" will be highlighted at the event. It will also showcase the "Wuzhong Intangible Culture Heritage" area, presenting traditional crafts and cultural elements from Suzhou, a city in East China's Jiangsu province.

LEC 2024 promises to be a dynamic event, offering opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and the exploration of new market trends in the licensing industry.
